Two-Day Top Performers Beach Day at Zuma with Bixel & Company

Zuma isn't one of our regular spots, but when Bixel & Company asked us to take a picnic up the coast, we were glad to go. Their client, a private bank, was hosting a group of top performers in Westlake Village in May 2023 and wanted to give them a proper day at the beach, twice. We set up on back-to-back afternoons, from 1:30 to 3:30, at the public lot off Pacific Coast Highway.
The first day was for about 30 guests and the second for about 20. Each day had the picnic tables, individual charcuterie cups, cupcakes and plenty of water on ice, with a buffet table for the spread. The chalkboard read "Welcome Top Performers."
We also set up a volleyball court on the sand, the main activity the group asked for. The planners brought in market umbrellas and higher chairs so guests who couldn't easily sit on the sand were comfortable too.
