Disney Summer Intern Beach Picnic for 40 with a DJ at Tower 28

A Disney team saw one of our picnics while out on the beach and booked its own for summer interns in June 2023: an evening picnic for 40 at Lifeguard Tower 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The team had fun with the details. The chalkboard carried the team's motto, a play on a Disney tagline, in Disney-style lettering. As the evening light faded, string lights over the picnic kept the setup glowing.
A live DJ played for the full two hours, and we set up cornhole, ladder toss and bocce on the sand so interns and staff could mix over games instead of sitting in their usual groups. For an intern program, an evening like this gives new people a relaxed way to meet the rest of the team.
