Spotify Editorial Core Week Beach Picnic for 41

Spotify's editorial team spent part of its Editorial Core Week on the beach in Santa Monica in September 2024. The group booked a large beach picnic for a Tuesday afternoon starting at 3:30pm, with a chalkboard at the entrance simply reading "Editorial Core Week."

We set up picnic seating for the full group along with a shaded buffet area to hold the food. The team arranged for tapas to be delivered to the beach at 4pm, and one of their colleagues met our on-site lead to hand the order off so it could go straight onto the buffet in the shade. Still and sparkling water was included for every guest.

Late-afternoon picnics suit a team week like this well: people can arrive after a day of sessions, eat and talk at the tables, and stay into the golden hour without needing to plan anything beyond the food. It fit neatly into a busy week of meetings.
