Chainalysis Conference Beach Dinner with Sandbourne Santa Monica

When Chainalysis brought a conference group to Sandbourne Santa Monica in September 2024, the hotel's events team wanted to host the group's dinner on the sand. They introduced us, and together we planned an evening beach dinner for a group of around 70 on the sand near the hotel.

We set everything up by late afternoon: 10-person picnic setups spread lightly across the sand so each table had room to breathe, a chalkboard welcoming the Chainalysis group, and two shaded canopies sheltering six buffet tables. The Sandbourne kitchen prepared the menu, and our team carried it from the hotel to the beach on our motorized sand wagons, then laid it out on the buffets along with serving utensils, cutlery, still and sparkling water, and coffee and tea dispensers.

Guests arrived around 6pm for dinner as the sun went down. Around the picnic area there was plenty to do: cornhole, ladder toss, Spikeball and bocce were set up nearby, and Bose S1 speakers were spaced through the setup for background music. It was the first large group we hosted together with Sandbourne, and a good example of how a hotel's own catering can move outdoors for a conference dinner on the beach.
