A Beach Picnic for 26 Hotel Guests at Lifeguard Tower 20

Guests of Shutters on the Beach have one of the easiest walks to a picnic in Santa Monica: straight out the door and onto the sand at Lifeguard Tower 20. In September 2023 we set up a large picnic there for a party of 26 hotel guests.

We arranged five low picnic tables, four seating five people and one seating six, with 26 floor pillows in white and blue. Two buffet tables held the food, and three coolers kept drinks cold. The spot we used is one of our longtime favorites near the hotel, close enough that guests can wander back and forth during the afternoon.

Hotel-guest picnics like this one are booked through the hotel, and our team handles the setup and breakdown on the sand, so guests just walk down when it's time.
