Back for More: A Birthday Picnic for a Newly Engaged Couple

Some of our favorite events come from repeat guests. In June 2023, we set up a proposal picnic at Lifeguard Tower 28. Three months later, the newly engaged couple was back, this time to celebrate the fiancée's birthday with about 20 friends and family.
They wanted more time than our standard slot, so we extended the picnic to four hours, running from 3 to 7pm to catch the sunset just before 7. The setup included a 10x10 event canopy over two buffet tables for the food the group brought along, our picnic tables with charcuterie boards arranged three to a table, and three coolers of ice and water. We added lawn games (cornhole, ladder toss and Spikeball) to keep the afternoon moving.
The chalkboard carried a birthday message decorated with hearts and butterflies, and the group stayed right up until dusk. It was a nice full-circle moment for our team: same beach, same couple, a very different kind of celebration.
