ShipBob and Gorgias Co-Hosted Dinner Picnic on the Beach

Two e-commerce companies, ShipBob and Gorgias, teamed up for a co-hosted dinner picnic on Santa Monica beach in August 2022. About 20 people from the two teams gathered at Lifeguard Tower 28 from 4 to 7 pm on a Tuesday.
The event was originally pencilled in for September, but the teams moved it up to late August. We held the date on our calendar, set a three-hour window so the group had time for dinner, and laid out picnic seating for the combined group, with catering arranged for the evening.
Joint events like this one are an easy way for partner companies to spend time together outside a conference room. Tower 28, in the Ocean Park area south of the pier, has a lot right by the sand, and a late-afternoon start gives a dinner picnic time to settle in and linger into the evening.
