Palm Tree LLC Summer Intern Picnic for 25 at Tower 12

Palm Tree LLC treated its interns to an afternoon on the beach in July 2024, a four-hour picnic from 1 to 5 pm at Lifeguard Tower 12. We set seating and plate settings for 25, while anyone arriving later or bringing their own towels and blankets could spread out around the main picnic.

The layout was customized for the group, and the details came from the interns themselves: after an early version of the plan dropped some games, they asked for Spikeball, and it went back on the list. Our chalkboard at the entrance greeted everyone with an "Aloha Palm Tree!" message.

Food was kept simple. The setup sat directly in front of Perry's Beach Cafe, so the group could order from Perry's in advance or walk over when they arrived, and bring any other food and drinks they wanted. For a summer intern outing, it was an easy way to get a big group outside, fed and playing together without much planning on the company's side.
