Netflix Intern Beach Day in Santa Monica

July 2024 marked the third year in a row that Netflix held its Intern Beach Day with us. The late-morning picnic in Santa Monica was set for the full intern group, with our picnic inventory scaled to match and still and sparkling water for everyone.

As in past years, the team added cheese and charcuterie boards from Thyme Cafe's picnic menu, which we arranged for them, along with a set of beach games for the interns. For lunch, the organizer's approach was refreshingly simple: order delivery straight to the beach, pass along our on-site manager's details, and let our team meet the driver, load the food onto our cart and bring it right to the picnic.

It's a format that works well for a corporate outing on a tight schedule — book the setup well in advance, place the food order the day of, and arrive to a finished picnic with games ready to go. Three summers in, it has become a reliable tradition for welcoming each new intern class to Los Angeles.
