Mysten Labs Engineering Beach Dinner for 75 by the Sandbourne

Mysten Labs brought its engineering team to the sand in November 2025 for a beach gathering of 75, planned with the events team at the Sandbourne Santa Monica. Working with the hotel meant the Sandbourne's own kitchen provided the catering.
The seating was a mix: 40 pillow seats around low picnic tables, and 35 banquet chairs at regular-height tables for guests who prefer a firm seat. Two canopies covered six buffet tables for the Sandbourne's food, and a Bose speaker with a microphone was there for music and remarks to the team.
When the team wasn't eating, there were cornhole, ladder toss, Spikeball and bocce. Corporate groups working with the Sandbourne are a natural fit for this kind of setup: the hotel handles the menu, and we handle everything on the sand.
