Ikaso Consulting Offsite Lunch Picnic for 70 at Tower 20

Ikaso Consulting held its company-wide offsite retreat in Santa Monica in September 2024, with the team staying at Shutters on the Beach. For one of the retreat days, they wanted to swap a conference-room lunch for a picnic on the sand, so we set up at Lifeguard Tower 20 by Bay Street, a short walk from the hotel.

The setup seated around 70 across roughly 15 low picnic tables, each with its own umbrella for shade, plus a chalkboard reading "Welcome Ikaso Consulting." Lunch came from Mendocino Farms: four large Foodie packages delivered to the beach by 10:30am, which our team received and arranged on buffet tables under two shaded canopies before guests arrived at 11. Still and sparkling water was included for everyone.

We also added beach games and an extra hour to the booking, giving the team time to linger after lunch rather than rushing back to the retreat agenda. For offsite planners with a group already staying on the beachfront, Tower 20 makes it easy: no shuttles, no parking, just a walk down to the sand.
