Cyber Resilience Evening Team Picnic North of the Pier

Cyber Resilience brought its team of about 35 to the beach on a weekday evening in May 2024, with the picnic running from 5:30 to 8:30pm on the sand just north of the Santa Monica Pier.

The organizer wanted a mix of seating styles, so we split the layout: 25 chairs for guests who preferred to sit up, and ten floor pillows around two low picnic tables for a more relaxed corner. Four buffet tables held dinner from Mendocino Farms, which arrived shortly before guests did and was set out before the group sat down. Our crew was on site from 4pm to have everything ready.

A three-hour evening slot is a good fit for a work group: people come straight from the office, eat as the light changes, and head home after sunset.
