Canva Create Wrap Party: A Beach Picnic for 100 at Tower 28

The day after Canva Create wrapped in May 2024, Canva threw a thank-you party for the people who pulled it off, and asked us for a beach picnic for 100. The chalkboard said it best: "Congratulations on a stellar Canva Create!"

We set up at Lifeguard Tower 28 on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, with picnic seating for 100, two large canopies over four buffet tables, and coolers holding 100 still and 100 sparkling waters. The team asked about matching the decor to their event colors; our setups are intentionally neutral so anything a client brings pops against them. Lunch came from Mendocino Farms, which the team picked up and our staff helped carry down to the sand.

Entertainment was the headline. A DJ played the whole event, a photographer spent an hour capturing the group, and we set up a full-size volleyball net alongside Spikeball and cornhole. The picnic started at 11:30am, and the group extended it by two hours on the day.
