A Celebration of Life Beach Gathering at Tower 12

In April 2026 a family asked us to host a celebration of life for a loved one on the beach at Lifeguard Tower 12, just off Pacific Coast Highway north of the pier. About 22 people came, arriving in the late morning.
The family chose a mix of seating so everyone would be comfortable: ten low pillow seats at picnic tables on beach rugs and ten banquet chairs at standard-height tables. There were also buffet tables for the food, which the family brought themselves.
The Tower 12 site is next to Perry's Beach Cafe, and a wooden walkway runs from there out onto the sand, which makes it one of the easier spots on the beach to reach. Quiet, easy-to-reach gatherings like this are a big part of what we do at Tower 12, and we were honored to be part of the day.
