Yahoo Executive Team Sunset Beach Picnic with Thyme Cafe

Yahoo's executive team made a beach picnic their top activity pick for a November 2024 get-together, with about 20 leaders heading to the sand in the late afternoon. We set up on the sand in Santa Monica, with everything in place before the group arrived.

Thyme Cafe handled the food from its gourmet to-go menu, including a cheese board, a charcuterie platter, a Mediterranean platter, mini chocolate chip cookies, and plenty of lemonade, iced tea and water, since the group wanted a spread without alcohol. The order was delivered to the parking lot, and we carried it down and displayed it under a canopy over two buffet tables. We also brought a thermos of hot water for the cooler evening.

With sunset just before 5pm, the team asked for some light at the table, so we added flameless candles and string lights. Two cornhole sets let the group run side-by-side matches, alongside ladder toss and bocce ball, and a Bose speaker provided music. Our chalkboard sign featured a hand-drawn Yahoo logo.
