McKinsey & Company Beach Brunch Picnic at Tower 12

McKinsey & Company booked a midday beach picnic for 20 in November 2024, coming together only a few days before the date. The group chose pillow seating at low tables, each shaded by its own umbrella, and we added our Shaded Buffet Area, a 10x10 canopy over two buffet tables, to keep the food out of the sun.
Lunch came from Alfalfa, the Santa Monica restaurant, with a spread that covered vegan and gluten-free options. The order was delivered to the parking lot at Lifeguard Tower 12 at 11:30am, and our crew received it and set it out on the buffet before guests arrived for the noon start. Glassware was on hand for mimosas.
The team asked for beach games too, so the setup included cornhole, ladder toss and bocce ball. With food, shade and games all handled, a late-notice midday gathering on the beach just north of the Santa Monica Pier came together without the hosts having to lift a thing.
