Santa Monica Proper Hotel Guest Beach Lounge Day at Tower 12

In March 2026 the Santa Monica Proper Hotel asked us to create a beach experience for its guests: somewhere on the sand they could spend the day, with the hotel sending them down in groups. After a first day together earlier that week, the hotel booked the same setup again for a Monday from 7am to 2pm.
We set up at Lifeguard Tower 12, just north of the Santa Monica Pier, with 15 of our long Italian chaise loungers lined up facing the ocean, each with its own umbrella. The hotel's guest experience team skipped a picnic table setup in favor of a pure lounge day, and we had the loungers ready before the first guests arrived.
Guests found complimentary still and sparkling water on ice, sunscreen and a set of beach games waiting, and the hotel supplied towels. Our on-site manager stayed with the setup through the day, and more chairs were ready to add if a bigger group came down. The hotel's drivers brought guests to the beach lot right behind the setup.
