American Airlines Beach Dinner for 40 by the Sandbourne

An American Airlines group booked a beach dinner for 40 in March 2026, set up on the sand in front of the Sandbourne Santa Monica, just south of the pier. The Sandbourne provided the catering, and our team met the hotel staff about an hour before guests arrived to carry the food down to the beach.
The seating mixed 20 pillow seats at low picnic tables with 20 banquet chairs at regular-height tables. Two canopies covered four buffet tables for the hotel's dinner, and two highboy tables gave guests somewhere to stand and mingle before sitting down. A Bose speaker on a tripod provided music.
Guests arrived at 5:30pm, with time for two cornhole sets, two ladder-toss sets, Spikeball and bocce before dinner was served at 6pm. Working with the hotel's catering team made it simple: the menu came from the Sandbourne's kitchen, and we set up a beach dining area a short walk from the lobby.
