A Seaside Joint Birthday Party for Two Girls at Tower 12

Two girls shared this birthday party on the sand in August 2025, and the chalkboard set the tone with a shell pun: a birthday bash by the sea. We set up at Lifeguard Tower 12, just north of the Santa Monica Pier, for a late-afternoon party from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, fully ready by the time guests arrived.

The layout had two zones. Thirteen girls sat around low picnic tables with pillow seating, while the 12 adults had their own lounge of 14 low beach chairs under umbrellas nearby. The hosts booked a hair-tinsel stylist for the party, so we added a separate umbrella and chair to give her a shaded station where the girls could take turns getting their hair done.

Coolers held plenty of ice with still and sparkling water for everyone, and a cornhole set kept kids and grown-ups busy between treats. For the invitations, we suggested guests use the wooden walkway in front of Perry's Beach Cafe, which leads straight out to the setup. The party date moved once, and the booking was shifted to the new Saturday with no trouble.
