A 30-Guest Engagement Party Beach Picnic at Tower 12

An engagement party where friends drift in and out all afternoon needs a different setup from a sit-down picnic. For this couple's celebration in August 2024, the hosts expected around 30 guests to come and go over four hours, so we planned the seating to match.

At Lifeguard Tower 12 we set the low picnic tables for 16, then added four high folding chairs and six low beach chairs so there was always somewhere to land. A shaded buffet table held the food the hosts brought in, and we swapped in enough single-use plates, cutlery, cups and napkins for all 30. A wireless speaker and a large cooler of still and sparkling water rounded it out.

To keep the afternoon moving, the couple added cornhole, Spikeball and bocce, so guests could wander between the picnic and the games on the sand. A chalkboard at the entrance welcomed everyone to the engagement party.
