A Beach Baby Shower for 40 Guests at Tower 12, Santa Monica

This baby shower was planned months ahead: a family member first reached out in April 2024 to book an August afternoon on the beach for the parents-to-be. The guest list started around 30, and after a few last-minute RSVPs it grew to 40.

At Lifeguard Tower 12 we laid the picnic out in two long rows seating 20 guests each, giving the shower a family-table feel on the sand. Lunch was two large foodie packages from Mendocino Farms, delivered ahead of the 3pm start and set up on shaded buffet tables so the food stayed out of the sun. Still and sparkling water came with the picnic, and we brought an extra cooler for the family's own drinks.

The family arrived early to add their own touches, with party favors, cupcakes and flowers displayed around the setup, and a chalkboard welcoming guests to the shower.
