A 12th Birthday Beach Party at Tower 28 in Santa Monica

A family celebrated their daughter's 12th birthday with a beach party at Lifeguard Tower 28 in Ocean Park in March 2025. With 21 guests on the list, the plan was built around keeping a group of kids busy and fed on the sand.

We set up a classic beach picnic with low tables for the group and added a buffet table so the family's food, which they brought themselves, had a spot of its own, along with serving utensils. Beach games were the centerpiece: Spikeball and cornhole kept the kids moving between the picnic and the open sand, and a speaker provided music for the party.

Tower 28 sits at the southern end of Santa Monica near the Venice border.
