Netflix LA Interns Welcome Picnic on the Beach

Netflix's software engineering internship team hosted a welcome picnic for its 2026 Los Angeles interns in July 2026. They booked our Classic Beach Picnic for 20 guests from 11 AM to 2 PM, and the chalkboard at the entrance said "Welcome 2026 Netflix LA Interns!"
The Classic Beach Picnic includes low tables on beach rugs with pillows, umbrellas and a loaded picnic basket, and it's built for a group sitting down together. Midway through the event the sun moved across the table, and the organizer asked for more shade. Our on-call team came back and moved the canopy to cover the sunny part of the table.
It was the second Netflix group we hosted this summer, after an engineering team onsite in June. A picnic with a fixed start and end time and everything set up in advance suits an intern welcome well: new hires can meet each other away from the office, and the organizers don't have to do any setup.
