A Family Celebration Picnic by the Annenberg Beach House

This June 2023 picnic wasn't at one of our usual towers. The client wanted it on the beach in front of the Annenberg Community Beach House, north of the pier, partway along the boardwalk and away from the busier end. We set up on the sand west of the beach path for 21 adults and two little ones, and the chalkboard offered a family member congratulations.

The host had a clear look in mind: no patterned tablecloths, just table runners on the low tables. We styled it that way, with our pillows, rugs and umbrellas around them. Dinner came from Mendocino Farms. It was delivered to the beach parking lot half an hour before the start, and our crew set it on a shaded buffet table so the host didn't have to handle food logistics.

The family also booked a 30-minute session with our photographer, scheduled early in the evening before the kids got too sandy.
