Amazon Team Beach Picnic for 25 with Lawn Games at Tower 28

In November 2022, an Amazon team of 25 joined us at Lifeguard Tower 28, our Ocean Park spot in south Santa Monica, for a group picnic on the sand. The fall is a quieter time on this stretch of beach, which makes it a relaxed setting for a team afternoon.
Games were a big part of the plan. We set up cornhole, ladder toss and bocce around the picnic, so people could move between the tables and a game, and teams could form and re-form over the afternoon.
For a team outing with a few dozen people, a games-forward layout like this lets everyone mix freely instead of staying in one conversation, and nobody has to plan much beyond showing up.
