A 13th Birthday Sunset Beach Party for 25 at Tower 12

For a daughter's 13th birthday, one family wanted a sunset party on the beach: food and fun, but nothing as formal as a sit-down dinner. In September 2024 we hosted them and about 25 guests at Lifeguard Tower 12, right in front of Perry's Beach Cafe off Pacific Coast Highway.

Our Beach Canopy package fit the brief well. It brings a shaded pop-up canopy over a folding table for food, beach umbrellas and chairs for casual seating, a cooler for drinks, cornhole, and a picnic basket with a Bluetooth speaker and paddleball. The family ordered a generous spread from Perry's next door, so we added a second buffet table to make sure there was plenty of room to lay it all out.

The party started at 5pm, timed to catch the evening light as the sun dropped toward the water. For teen birthdays where the priority is hanging out, games and good food rather than table settings, a canopy setup like this keeps things relaxed and easy for the hosts.
